Architectural Design & Drafting (Wed)
4 Wednesdays; Sept. 7, 14, 21, 28; (Age:18+)
Service Description
Students will learn architectural design criteria, develop skills and techniques to prepare architectural symbols, floor plans, building elevations, and learn how to create 2D working drawings of a residence. Use AutoCAD tools to create site plan layout, floor plan symbols, floor plan layout, floor plan dimensions and notes, introduction to elevations, elevation layout and drawing techniques (rendering). Students will take a hands-on, exercise-intensive approach using CAD, apply and learn architectural drafting design. Prerequisite: None AutoCAD Versions: 2021, 2020, or 2019 (Microsoft Windows) on student's laptop. AutoCAD Use by Instructor: 2021 (Microsoft Windows). Instructor(s) reserve the right to modify the class activities as needed. Requirement: Students are required to have their own laptop with the full version AutoCAD installed on their laptop.
